SLEEP LIKE YOU'RE IN 5 STARS!
If your main priority in a hotel is a clean room,
a soft and comfortable bed,
and a place that actually lets you rest—
then Red Planet Hotel Cubao is a good option.
This hotel is not for staycations or lounging all day.
It’s really meant for sleeping and recharging, especially if you have plans around Gateway Mall or Araneta Coliseum. There are plenty of food options nearby and convenience stores that are open 24 hours.

We initially considered booking a 4-star hotel like Novotel, but when we looked at our schedule, it didn’t make sense.
Right after checking in, we were heading out to attend the service at The Feast Novotel, then have an early dinner. That meant we wouldn’t be able to enjoy any hotel amenities like the pool or gym.
So instead of paying more for things we wouldn’t use, we chose something more practical and value for money.
Also—this hotel is perfect if you’re trying to hit your 10k steps.
Gateway Mall and Araneta are just around a 9-minute walk from the hotel, so everything is walkable. Food spots, cafes, and stores nearby are close enough that you’ll naturally rack up steps without even noticing. If you enjoy walking (or want to stay active while traveling), this location works in your favor.
After checking in, we headed straight to:
the service at The Feast Novotel &
an early dinner at Inasal Chicken Bacolod.
Quick food review:
The Chicken Sisig and Inasal Thigh Fillet were really good—9/10 for me.
After dinner, we walked around the mall and tried Llao Llao’s new product:
Brioche with granola nuts, Biscoff sauce, and their signature yogurt.
Honest take: It’s interesting and worth trying once because it’s different—but it’s more of a bun than a pancake. You can easily recreate something similar at home using pancakes if you want. 🙂

If your itinerary is within Gateway Mall, Araneta, or nearby offices, Red Planet Hotel Cubao is a solid option—especially if all you need is a comfortable place to sleep.
No frills. Just what you need.
Extra things worth noting:
✅ Free parking available (second floor)
✅ You can bring your own tumbler and refill water at the ground floor
✅ Grab orders are allowed and can be picked up at the designated station
⚠️ Take note: If you don’t pick up your Grab order within 40 minutes, the staff will dispose of it—so make sure to time it properly.
